THE BRAIN within its groove |

Runs evenly and true; |
|
But let a splinter swerve, |
|
’T were easier for you |
|
To put the water back |

When floods have slit the hills, |
|
And scooped a turnpike for themselves, |
|
And blotted out the mills! |
