Consummated

Don't think that time has dimmed your memory
Like saying when I awake won't see the sun
When my eyes are open wish you before me
As long as I live you are the one.

And the night's dreams may give some relief
It seems that your presence proves what's real
That in this life you prove my belief
That it is only fulfilled when your love can feel.

This absence I suffer our love cannot countenance
For its power is much too strong
There is nothing that can stop our romance
And that in your arms I most belong.

So, time cannot refute what love proves is true
Like saying the earth around the sun won't turn
What makes its orbit complete my love for you
Consummated when my love for you most burn.
