You won’t be here for Christmas or any other day

Your gift I will not unwrap under the tree

For this world has whisked you away

And you will not be the present for me.

What is my present the future solidify

The loss that Time cannot deny

And from this never escape my misery

And Time from this can never fly.

So, this Christmas eve I care for no other gift

Than what this world once brought my way

And for the rest of my days remain adrift

For here, when you were my anchor, did not stay.
