Empty Life

This is my life now that you are gone
An empty night followed by an empty day
All I am is but sorrow’s pawn
About to make a scene in tragedy’s play.

Yesterday, you were Venus's rival
And the cosmos where we would soar
Down to earth, elemental forces battle
The goddess wins, I can have you no more.

There may be such majesty on this Earth
But, to enjoy it there Is one necessary part
The love that its treasures best unearth
That only come alive through your heart.

But, this place a paradise to me only barren
That has fallen not because of any sin
Except the only guilt a love forgotten
When you no longer will let me in.
