Spring is coming but I am, here, still cold
Not because the days aren’t getting warmer
But because, you, my sweet, I cannot hold
And the sun must shine through your karma.

The birds arrive but my heart not sing
Despite the branches that bear new leaves
But the newborn earth your love not bring
Before all else lives your life conceives.

The gardens waken with flowers in bloom
But the bud in my heart must first flower
Until the Earth’s gardens give our love room
Only beautiful when with our love shower.

The days are growing but, to me, still dark
Not because the sun sets later each day
But because every day first needs your spark
So when night comes Spring, your light, obey.
