Timeless Love

As the Summer sets your love is still as bright

As the days grow shorter your love as long

For no season matters when you are in sight

For more than this world to my heart belong.

When Autumn comes and the ground soon bare

The harvest of our heart is still as full

Where the Rose now withered our love as fair

While the trees their leaves shed our passion bountiful.

And I need not fear the coming Winter’s cold

Or believe its steely grip snuff out our fire

For in this harshest clime I still have you to hold

And no Winter storm can freeze our desire.

And, then will come the processional Spring

Yet, during seasons past our passion shared

So, though new flowers grow and Robins sing

The essence of our timeless love already bared.
