Letting You Go

I saw this stone and thought it sparkled for me
And each facet cradled my soul
But, I learned for any other shined as beautifully
Now, to the rest, let it go.

I know losing you I lost my soul
And waiting for my Muse's rescue
But the hurt I feel she must know
And how her intervention futile.

Time cannot go quickly enough by
So these days I can erase
And through this world fly
So less my sadness trace.

This is love's other side
From its ecstasy to pain
That from it cannot hide
Knowing I won’t see you again.

That’s all, to all the end must come
And to our own affair
Though to your love did succumb
Must live without you there.
