Nothing Intrude

I am listening to my muse, may her inspiration reign
With her voice so sweet this is what whets my soul
So, when I write my ode's next refrain
From a muse to an angel these lines go.

Each day, supposedly, makes what we know disappear
Except that it is like leaving an ember after a fire
And no matter how far away you are still here
And you arise in the full flame of my passion's desire.

I listen to the music affirming this and my muse returns
So beautifully, now I know this was meant to be
When your heart for one so much yearns
The world revolves around this reality.

And you are the music whose melody will never die
And though there may be an interlude
The final rhapsody will come when with you I lie
And our love nothing in this world intrude.
