Sonnet 335 (Not Confined to Time)

The cold can't shake the warmth you give my soul
But only feeds the flames of passion’s fire
And, too, the early night can’t dim your glow
But leaves a larger room for my desire.

Like Blue Jays that sing despite the cold
Beyond its grasp, still hear its melody
Still warm when, in my dreams, your body hold
And but make dearer when you’re next to me.

For winter’s winds and ev'ry flake that falls
Can’t shake my feeling of eternal spring
For through the bleakest storms your voice still calls
For both the warmth and beauty your love bring.

So, need not fear the harshest winter clime
For love like ours is not confined to time.
