Your Love Gives

And the Spring arrives but, still, my soul is cold
It only breathes new life when I know you're here
And even with the first bloom my heart can't hold
For only your blossoming love I hold most dear.

As this season arrives so stubbornly and reluctantly
Teasing us with its warmth but, then, turns gray
Yet, I don't need the sun when you're next to me
Don't care if Spring fickle when you're next to me.

But, even when, finally, the days give in to the sun
And when the gardens can boast their Roses’ bloom
Even with Summer’s prospect you are the one
This world's seasons must first give you room.

For they, in my life, must your life circle around
How short their cycles your constancy most lives
For their reason for being only if to you are bound
And no season matters as long as your love gives.
